The Creature Appeal

  • Dead Wax Digbeth 28 Adderley Street Birmingham, England, B9 4ED United Kingdom (map)

From what started as a typical indie rock outfit, The Creature Appeal have expanded their sonic palette to any genre they feel best represents their sentiments; In one breath they’re bold and expansive with soaring guitars and anthemic choruses; in the next, deeply introspective about the uncertainties of life in your twenties. With one foot planted in adulthood and the other still lingering in adolescence, the band are defined above all by their sincerity.

Their new single ‘Demi Moore’ is an auto-biographical retrospective on a stormy situationship, ignoring the forecast and in the end, getting what you need rather than what you want. You should have known, for you never could agree on what a classic is.

With a melancholic yet nostalgic eye, the band combine Indie Folk/ Heartland Rock inspired influences (Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac and more recently, Sam Fender) with soulful vocals akin to Florence + The Machine.

The last 12 months for the band have been nothing short of a whirlwind; from a run of sell-out shows in the capital (culminating in an electric set at Bush Hall), to playing with Live Nation and performing at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival, it’s safe to say they plan on hitting 2026 hard.
