Ad Astra is a night of powerful live music and fundraising for charity presented by Starlight Realm Promotions, this charity fundraiser brings together some of the West Midlands' finest emerging rock and metal talent for an unforgettable evening while supporting two incredible causes: Cancer Research UK and The National Autistic Society.

Taking place on Friday, 4 December 2026, at Dead Wax, Digbeth, the event showcases a diverse lineup spanning progressive metal, nu metal, melodic metal, metalcore, and modern rock. Expect high-energy performances from Nameless, Insurgent, Vindictive, Dreamboat Emperor, and Equinox.

Nameless

Nameless, a formidable force hailing from the heart of Birmingham, has emerged as a thrilling revelation in the music scene, fusing the raw energy of NU-Metal, the ethereal allure of Shoegaze, and the unrelenting intensity of Hardcore Music. Insurgent 

From the home of heavy metal, Insurgent are making waves as one of the most exciting up-and-coming metal bands in the UK and worldwide.

Vindictive

Vindictive is pure chaos. 4 chaotic lads making music to cause as much chaos as possible. Taking inspiration from the very best of modern hardcore, think Knocked Loose, Desolated. All the members come from different musical backgrounds and work together to make the angriest and most destructive music possible.

Dreamboat Emperor

Formed in 2024, Dreamboat Emperor is a progressive instrumental alt rock band driven by a passion for vast, atmospheric soundscapes with intricate guitar work, dynamic rhythms and an evolving blend of prog, alternative and post-rock influences.
